Hiring a manager or an executive

Recruiting a manager or an executive is not simply a matter of finding a CV that matches a job description.

How we work, from understanding the need to following the integration

  1. Recruiting starts with understanding

Before starting a search, we take the time to understand the company, its organisation, its culture, its market, what is at stake in the role and the reasons behind the recruitment. Together with the executives, HR and the operational managers involved, we define the essential skills, the experience sought, the personal qualities expected and the criteria that will measure the candidate’s future success.

  2. Direct search at the heart of what we do

Most of the managers and executives who could fit a search are not actively looking for a new position. Our job is therefore to identify these professionals, approach them confidentially and understand their situation before presenting an opportunity. The aim is not to persuade a candidate to change company at any cost. It is to determine whether the role could be a coherent and sufficiently attractive career step to warrant serious consideration. This takes time, discretion and precise knowledge of the market in which we operate.

  3. A selection, not a pile of CVs

We value relevance over volume. The candidates we present have been met and assessed against the criteria agreed with the client. Their background, motivation, professional situation and genuine interest in the role are analysed in depth before any presentation. When we believe a less conventional profile has qualities that could address the challenges of the role particularly well, we may also put it forward, explaining the reasons for our recommendation clearly.

  4. A relationship that continues after the hire

Our role is not only to identify candidates. It is also to exercise judgement and advise our client. We support the company and the candidate until the recruitment is concluded and can act as a trusted intermediary during discussions on terms of employment. After the candidate takes up the post, we stay in touch with both parties and follow the integration throughout the first year. An assignment is not measured by a signed contract, but by the lasting success of the hire.
